BENJAMIN HEIZER was born in Staunton, Virginia in 1988. He is currently a graduate student at Shenandoah University-Conservatory of Music in Winchester where he is pursuing the Master of Church Music degree with a double concentration in Organ and Choral Conducting. He holds the Bachelor or Arts degree in Church Music, with a double concentration in organ and voice, from Bridgewater College (VA). He recently accepted the position of Minister of Music at Hebron Presbyterian Church in Staunton, where he will direct the adult and handbell choirs, and play the church’s Taylor and Boody pipe organ. Previously, he served in a similar position at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Staunton, and as Interim Organist at Muhlenberg Lutheran in Harrisonburg.
