Shen Fine Music

Shen Fine plays tunes and songs from Ireland and Scotland as well as contemporary acoustic folk music. We cover songs of Gordon Lightfoot, Mike Scott, John Prine, George Strait, and Corb Lund. Our “Sailor Sets” are legendary for lusty sing-a-longs and our stirring pub songs get everyone involved. Shannon, Brent and Cheryl are often joined by special guests at their gigs where they can incorporate even more sounds and stylings from the Celtic lands.

The Stewart Choir and Orff Ensemble was performance based, with every activity building skills and knowledge. Each class rehearsal built teamwork, confidence, and technique, creating beautiful music presented to an awaiting audience.

Louise McGehee Orff Ensemble

The Orff Ensemble under the direction of Jessica Holl recently performed at VooDoo Fest in New Orleans. Orff Ensemble is the premier instrumental ensemble for Middle School at McGehee. Students audition at the end of sixth grade and participate for the following two years. Most recently the Orff Ensemble was featured at the LMEA District VI Honor Chorus Concert. Orff performs for school wide community events and they are looking forward to branching out into the community. Playing the Kids Tent at the Voodoo Festival was one of this year's highlights.
