Canadiana Encore! (book - $13.95)
Canadiana Encore! the second volume of folk song arrangements and dances from the Canadian heritage. This volume follows Judy's classic, Canadiana, and also includes teaching suggestions. The materials in this book were created for the classroom using the Orff approach and have proven to be successful with children. The songs and activites may be modified to serve the needs of the music teacher regardless of level of Orff training. The songs may also be sung with guitar or piano accompaniment. While several of the songs have accompanying dance instructions, others lend themselves well to creative actions on the part of the students. Recorder or instrumental improvisation can be added especially in conjunction with the First Nations songs. |
Judy has collected songs with Orff orchestrations and full lesson plans for this free web book. The tunes have been used in Judy's presentations at workshops and conferences around the USA and Canada. All of these songs and activities are previously unpublished. Help yourself!
