The Boys

Brent, Rob, Michael

WELCOME!  Find music for middle school Orff ensembles and general music classes, arrangements for recorder ensembles from beginning to advanced, church music for children's choir and Orff instruments, and music for elementary and middle school choir.

We also can now offer Celtic music from Shen Fine, a fine band based in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.

Listen to some of the fine tradtional hymns and songs from the Southern Harmony tradition on Brent's website. His new audio CD is titled "Hymns and Songs of the Brethren." You can hear a preview on his web page.

We're pleased to recommend our fine recording engineer, mix master, and guitar virtuoso, Bart Reardon. Go to his website to find out more about his excellent new CD "Once Upon a Guitar."

We highly recommend Tom Bourne's marimbas and Peripole's Middle School Orff Instruments.

Here's Two - A Jazz Collection for the Orff Classroom Grades 4 - 8

Patrick Ware

(Book/CD Rom - $19.95)

Patrick's new book of original Jazz tunes for Orff classes will contain teaching suggestions, full scores for the teacher, listening recommendations and lots of helpful information about jazz styles.

The songs in Here’s Two are purposely constructed with the Orff-Schulwerk process in mind and give students the exciting opportunity to connect to their own musical heritage. Jazz is America’s classical music. Born of cross-cultural connections, improvisation and unprecedented creativity, Jazz music is much like the classroom. Using these pieces can be a vehicle to take your students to a wonderful place they may never have gone. As Cab Calloway said, “Get in the groove and go.”

The included CD ROM contains visual aids to help with ensemble and solo instrument set ups, MP3 audio files for each piece, and full scores and student parts.
