Trains are popular in our nation’s history. Folk, pop, rock, and classical musicians have written and performed a songs and instrumentals about trains. Children of all ages enjoy of singing, listening to, creating, and experiencing music and about trains.

About René

Dr. René Boyer, professor emerita of music education at the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music, is known internationally for her work in multicultural and urban music education. She has numerous publications, including Music Studio, Spotlight on Music, and Share the Music (McGraw-Hill). Her publications from Hal Leonard including Expressions of Freedom remain “must haves” in urban teaching situations. Out of the Mouths of Babes: Songs and Poems About Me (Archway) addresses diversity in the early childhood setting. 

 René received her BM and MM from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, Illinois, and her doctorate from Washington University. She has received many awards in music education and continues to travel throughout the United States and abroad to work with children and teachers.
